Liam Gittins
Born in Aberystwyth, Wales. Liam Gittins is a Welsh film maker and voice actor. Liam only started taking interest in the media and film in his early teens by watching shows such as “Charlie Brooker’s Screenwipe” and began work as a Voice actor after successfully imitating many cartoon characters he loved as a child. These factors lead to Liam starting his film career in A Weird Kind of Rodeo in hope that he would learn from others on how to make a good film, and the love he has for the sound of his own voice lead him to be a regular presenter on the previous Jeremiah Show and the current show; The Night Light.

Liam considers his biggest media influences to be Charlie Brooker for a cynical take on the Media and television as a whole, and also Directors Peter Jackson and Joss Whedon for creating the films and TV series that lead him to take a career in film.

Retro video games are a large influence on Liam, his love for the 8-bit and retro style play large roles in how he presents himself and the music he listens to.

As the youngest member of the group, Liam believes he still has much to learn in film making but is eager to work and enjoys the work he does for both the University and for content on Youtube.

Let me first start by introducing myself. I’m Liam Gittins, the youngest and Welshest member of ‘A Weird Kind of Rodeo’. Everything I know about film making I have learnt from the wonderful people in this group as before University I had never used a DSLR before… or made a film. The only thing I knew how to do was voice acting, which I’m quite proud of. I will be posting here regularly on AWKOR updates and what we have coming up. Until then, let me tell you of the first year we spent in University together.
